Where was badminton started?
There are various views of Badminton sport's history. Some Historians said that the Badminton was introduced in ancient Greece and Egypt. In some resources, it is saying that Badminton sport originated in Europe and Asia.

In Asia, the country that related to this sport are Japan, India and China. In Japan, the sport that related to the Badminton is called Hanetsukite. It was played in the late of 16 century. It is similar to Badminton but it does not used a net. This game was played with the wooden paddle called Hagoita and a shuttle called Hane.

While in India, the Badminton was discovered and created by the military officers stationed there. The Badminton known as Battledore and Shuttlecock. This game was very popular among citizen in the town called Poona ( now Pune ). So that the Badminton was known and called as Poona by Indian people.

Ti jian ji

In China, their people played a game called ti jian zi in the late of 5th century. Ti jian zi means kicking the shuttle. The game rule is not letting the shuttle to fall to the ground. The issues whether this game related to the history of Badminton or not is still up for debate. However, this is the first game that used shuttle.
