Equipment Rules


Badminton is an International and Olympic sport, so it has specific rules that decided its play. The rules include the equipment used in the Badminton. The rules restrict the design of the rackets and shuttlecock and also its size. The strict is held to ensure the fair of matches of the sport. 

Rackets 

Racket

The frame of the racket must have a handle attached to a shaft. It is connect to the throat and the head of racket. The head must be strung with a interwoven synthetic string. The head can not be more bigger than 280 mm in length and 220 mm in width. The length of the racket must be within 680 mm in length and 230 mm in width. The weight of the racket must be between 80 g to 100 g. 

    Shuttle

Shuttlecock

Shuttle is a small object that been used to play Badminton. It is hit to the back and forth over the net in the court. Without it, we cant play Badminton. The rounded cork base is made of rubber or cock that covered in leather. It must be 25 to 28 mm in diameter. The feather must be 62 to 70 mm in length. The weight of the shuttlecock should be about 4.74 to 5.50 g.

The dimension of the net should be 2.5 tall and 20 feet wide. The top of the net must be 5 feet from the ground.
